Syllabus: | This unit further develops the communication skills required of professional dieticians including; interpreting medical records and documentation of nutrition care. Students will practice conducting diet histories, nutrition counselling and interviewing and developing group education with disease considerations. This unit requires the application of counselling theory: stages of change, behaviour modification, cognitive behavioural therapy and motivational interviewing. |
